DM800SE-HD/Virgin Media Nagra 3

New member to forum so hope not to upset anyone with what might be a trivial question to someone.
Want to buy a DM800-SE from local UK supplier but have heard from various forums that Nagra 3 will stop me from viewing Virgin Media cable channels via DVB-C tuner.
I subscribe to Virgin Media XL package and would like to view channels both on my HDTV and from a laptop in a different room.

My question is - is it true that Virgin Media's recent rollout of Nagra 3 will stop me viewing channels even though I already pay for XL package?

If it's true, is there a workaround?

As you can tell I'm new to the world of dreambox so sorry if only satellite related questions are allowed on this forum.
