how to change CCcam config

Hi lads hope someone can help me with this as its all new to me,i bought a dm 500-s flashed Gemini image,i had to use dream up to do it as flashwizard 6,3 would not connect could not find ip address,next i had to configure Cccam configi tried to use ftp dcc but would not connect to box said box has no ip address,i allso tryed crimson editor put just got a word pad when i opened it so dont no how to use it.

hello
do you have a router ?
if yes, check if dhcp is inabled on dreambox and router

iv done all u said i now have a green line from PC to router and red to db,i put in the ip address the way u said but it says check db ip address,here is what i have ticked on screen,in connections (router) equipment (empty)active image (image in the flash)system(ftpkeep alive) when i try to reconnect it says error 10057 in function send socket is not connected.i must be doing something wrong but just cant figure it out.i allso erased Gemini and used darkster 11 and is working fine on free to air
