DVB Technical Module, a team comprising a group of experts working on the DVB specification, confirmed the specification for DVB- 3DTV . The first part of the viewers will have the opportunity to adopt 3D broadcast on existing receivers. It coincides with plans of the pay-TV as BSkyB and Canal +.

Experts are currently discussing the second part of the system. It will cover the other requirements of broadcasters, such as the 2D version of the same order in 3D.

Most ideas for the first part of the system derive from the pay-TV broadcasting in Europe and the USA. The second part was composed with the operators of the FTA stations in the U.S..
