British television station Channel 4 in April 2011 plans to start broadcasting in high definition ( HDTV ). Program Channel 4 HD will be added to the satellite platform Freesat. Reported the operator of February 2, 2011.

Free To Air HD Channel 4 make an offer Freesatu, which now includes a BBC HD, BBC HD and ITV 1 HD. Overall, it will be the fourth HD channel for free in the Freesatu. Channel 4 HD will most likely be broadcast via satellite Astra 2D ( 28.2 ° E ), which means that the satellite signal covers the British Isles and part of Western Europe. Freesat currently provides 150 television and radio programs and interactive services, which uses about 1.5 million homes.
