Discovery Networks announces new leadership

To date, Discovery Communications in Eastern Europe will be called Discovery Networks, + CENTRAL EASTERN EUROPE, MIDDLE EAST AND AFRICA (CEEMEA) - Discovery Networks for Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa. Katarzyna Kieliová, EVP & MD CEEMEA Discovery Networks, said: " At the beginning of the year, we formally merged the Central Division with a division emerging markets. Following the provisions of these structures, we decided to change the company name so that it fully reflects the geographical size of the region . " Dorothy Żurkowska-Bytner in these changes became Country Manager for Central Europe based in Poland. A new regional management is as follows: Karol Bek, Affilliate Sales Director Poland Barbara Bílinská, Channel Director, CE Bartek Główczyński, Marketing Director, CE Maria Jamróz, HR Associate CE & SEE Piotr Kabala, Corporate Communications Manager, CE & SEE Marcin Lukasiewicz, Ad Sales Director Poland Sylwester Molenda, Research, Insights & Innovation Director, CE Hanna Trail, Finance Director, CE & SEE Magda Szczawińska, On-Air Director CE Laszlo Vantsa, Affiliate Sales Director Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovakia Dorothy Żurkowska-Bytner, Country Manager Central Europe, said: " These changes allow us to work more closely with our existing and potential business partners to jointly develop a local approach, which is consistent with the needs and wishes of our viewers. At the same time we will continue to ensure the excellent quality of shows and get them with new offerings such as high-definition programs and channels of TLC, who got involved in other regional countries . " Discovery Channel was mentioned in the Czech Republic in 1997. With its targeting men aged 25-39 years to become one of the most popular factual channels in the country. Discovery Networks CEEMEA constantly expanding its range of channels, which comprises seven country channels, namely: Animal Planet, ID Investigation Discovery, Discovery World, Discovery Science, Discovery HD Showcase, and Discovery Travel & Living. The last four named channels are now available in the offer of UPC Digital TV. Discovery Networks has 9 CEEMEA branded channels broadcast in 18 local languages in 99 countries on three continents.
