SES Astra announced today that 100%-owned subsidiary of Astra Platform Services (APS) opened a new playout center in Unterföhring near Munich. With the new center, one of the most advanced technical centers of its kind in Europe, will significantly enhance their capabilities in providing broadcasters and production houses worldwide.

In recent years, APS has significantly broadened its portfolio with additional services such as Digital Asset Management and expanded out of Europe. The company now provides services to 290 TV channels, 37 HD, 42 radio stations and 59 data services.
