I know oldest version sBox beta 0.0.3 came out 16.06.2009
Now it's popular 'cose Tivůsat, Sky are both supported and seems to be the future for many encryption (see info above): faster and stable. For your test, I got answers from friends... it works like a charme.

you can test your self
upload config file and bin file in /var/bin/, replace in config file sci=/dev/sci0 with sci=smartreader+ and then launch sbox using ./sbox.x86 &
in my opinion smargo is not set yet

  • sbox.cfg is uploaded 1st post
  • smargo not supported yet
  • concerning to debian I have notice not experince about a 64bit version , I report from outside here...
Here is the solution to running it also on Your 64bit Debian Linux Server (also working for Ubuntu)

If You runing the file like this:
Code:
root@debian:~# /usr/bin/sbox.x86
-bash: /usr/bin/sbox.x86: No such file or directory
it doesn't work, because the ia32-libs are missing, You can see with command file what the sbox binary is:
Code:

Code:
root@debian:~# file /usr/bin/sbox.x86
/usr/bin/sbox.x86: ELF 32-bit LSB executable, Intel 80386, version 1 (SYSV), for GNU/Linux 2.6.8, dynamically linked (uses shared libs), not stripped
so we install the missing 32 libs:

Code:
root@debian:~# aptitude install ia32-libs
Now have fun with sbox on 64bit System

Code:
root@debian:~# /usr/bin/sbox.x86

Viewing Pay TV without a valid subscription is illegal

Wellcome to sBox (for x86)
Version: 0.0.4-6 (06/01/2010 #1)
WebPage:
Of course sbox is running on 32bit native modus, not on 64bit.

Maybe for someone this howto is helpfully.

Thanks to
Hombre
